Meet the team

Dr Michael Hickman

Founder & Managing Director

Dr Michael Hickman is Founder and Managing Director of Preologi, the first UK company to partner with GRAIL to bring the Galleri® multi-cancer early detection test directly to UK patients. He leads Preologi’s business development and growth, building partnerships with clinicians and private healthcare providers to widen access to early detection, so that cancer and heart disease can be found earlier, when outcomes are best.

A Consultant Cardiologist since 2008 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Michael has spent his career championing early diagnosis. At the Royal Surrey County Hospital he developed the complex pacemaker service, expanded advanced cardiac imaging and served as Clinical Lead for Cardiology. He was also regional lead for cardiovascular services across Surrey Heartlands. In 2019 he co-founded The Virtual Cath Lab, which provides rapid access to AI-assisted coronary imaging to detect the earliest signs of coronary artery disease.
